Juan
Carlos Cuminetti
No
one else comes to the first close-up player is Juan Carlos Cuminetti,
known as “Cumi” in Italy, “Nacho” in Argentine.
He could be an eternal idle for Satomina and Cazuca.
He
had high expectation in failing Argentine volleyball world after the
Seoul Olympic Games.
However, he moved to Italy early and has been playing in
Serie A since then.
Satomina had her eyes on him from ten or more years ago.
In 1998 Satomina (basically Brazil fan) gradually found his
attractiveness again
while she had been watching the games with Cazuca during the World
Championship in Japan.
On
the other hand, Cazuca cheered Argentine team mainly Guillermo Quaini in
1998.
And Cumi remembered Cazuca as the premier fan for Argentine
team (or the premier fan for Quaini) in Japan.
It
needed only short period of time for Satomina and Cazuca to be
mesmerized
by Cumi’s charming behavior or expression that didn’t match with his
decent face.
Because of this Satomina
and Cazuca executed watching tours (of Cumi?) to Italy in 1999 and 2000.
In fact we are hoping his play in the national team, but Cumi
himself doesn’t want to return the national team.
So Italy is the only place where we can meet Cumi.
Cumi is already over 30 years old,
but we want him to play as long as possible.
Cumi
treated us very kindly in Modena, Italy.
Satomina and Cazuca have vowed to go to Italy
and see his play as much as possible.
