Giba’s
debut for the national team was shocking for Satomina because he was 4
years younger than I was.
Until then all players were “older” or “same age” to me, but
Giba was only 17 years old and
looked very innocent
(later I found out only his face was innocent).
Giba has pure and friendly character.
Giba is attractive on the court (especially he got many
Japanese fans’ heart at the World Championship in 1998).
Giba shows his tender smile frankly when the fans call his
name.
That is one of the reasons for increasing his popularity.
Giba
has interests in fashion, camera, and personal computers like other
young male.
Giba is the first one who exchanged e-mail with Satomina.
However, our initial promise that is language exchange
(Portuguese & Japanese) hasn’t been executed.
Giba is very strict about Portuguese pronunciation so he
pointed out my poor pronunciation.
When Satomina has a chance to teach Japanese to Giba, I am
thinking to be hard on pronunciation like him.
Satomina
and Giba happen to have the same type of 35mm-lens camera.
Giba told me how to use this type of camera.
So I have to pay him in return for a good shooting photographs.
Recently I have bought a wonderful lens so I think he can
count on me.
At
the end I would like to congratulate Giba on his matrimony.
He beats me to the punch, and that makes me little bit frustrated, but
please stay in happily.
